The calls to service for the Unity, Wilkie and Macklin RCMP from July 11 to 17 included a report of porta-potty on fire near McLurg High School in Wilkie, the fire was extinguished and there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Also in the calls, was a 35-year-old male from Macklin being charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order Condition after Members received a traffic complaint.

UNITY REPORTS 

  • RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint.  Members spoke to the subject of complaint. 

  • Police received another Mental Health Act complaint.  Members spoke to the subject of complaint.  

  • Members received a report of an individual urinating in public. This matter is still under investigation. 

  • RCMP received a report of trespassing.  Members spoke to the subjects of complaint and issued a verbal warning. 

  • Police received a report of a barking dog.  Members attended but could not hear the animal barking. 

  • Members acted as mediators in a dispute between two adults. 

  • CN Police reported a train blocking a railway crossing.  Reported for information purposes. 

  • RCMP received a complaint of fraud but there was insufficient evidence to proceed. 

  • Police received a complaint of a suspicious person in a rural area near Salvador.  Members located the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning. 

  • Members received a report of a lost wallet.  The wallet has not been located. 

  • RCMP received several complaints of youth knocking on residence doors and running away.  Members patrolled but could not locate the subjects of complaint. 

  • Police received a several reports of an individual walking on the highway.  Members located the subject of complaint who was hitchhiking to another community. 

  • A 22-year-old male from Unity was charged with Fail to Comply with Release Order Condition during a traffic stop. 

  • RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint.  Members spoke to the subject of complaint. 

  • Police received another Mental Health Act complaint.  Members spoke to the subject of complaint. 

  • There were also two false alarms, two traffic complaints and two false 911 calls. 

WILKIE REPORTS 

  • RCMP received a complaint of theft but there was insufficient evidence to proceed. 

  • Police received a report of a broken lock at a building.  Insufficient evidence to proceed. 

  • Members acted as mediators in a family dispute. 

  • RCMP attended the sudden death of a 71-year-old female from the Wilkie area.  The death was not suspicious in nature. 

  • Police received a Mental Health Act complaint.  Members transported the subject of complaint to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment. 

  • Members received a complaint of fraud.  This matter is still under investigation. 

  • RCMP received a report of a porta-potty on fire near McLurg High School.  The fire was extinguished by Wilkie Fire Department.  Insufficient evidence to proceed. 

  • There were also three traffic complaints. 

MACKLIN REPORT 

  • RCMP acted as mediators in a neighbor dispute. 

  • CP Police reported a cow near the railway tracks.  The animal was moved by the owner. 

  • Members attended a single vehicle collision north of Macklin.  There were no injuries, and no charges were laid. 

  • A 35-year-old male from Macklin was charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order Condition after Members received a traffic complaint. 

  • Police received a report of trespassing at a residence.  Members attended and the residence was secure. 

  • RCMP received a complaint of suspicious individuals at a business.  Members attended and spoke to the subjects of complaint. 

  • A 26-year-old male from Macklin was charged with Assault after Members received a complaint of a domestic dispute. 

  • Police are investigating another complaint of assault. 

  • Macklin Fire Department reported a transformer on fire in Macklin.  Members attended.  The fire was not suspicious in nature. 

  • Members assisted an individual in locating transportation. 

  • There was also one false 911 call.
