It was a high scoring weekend in the SWHL, and offense was at the forefront of the player of week and nominees. Not forgotten were the goaltenders, as Unity's Ryan Rewarts and Brett Vanderveer were mentioned for their superb play in two tough losses for the Miners.

Moving onto other nominees, The Dziurzynski brothers continue to put up big points for Kindersley, David had two goals and two assists, and Darian chipped in with four helpers in a 9-2 whitewashing of Biggar on Sunday.

Wilkie's Blake Young started his big weekend with three goals and three assists in a 12-3 thumping of Kerrobert on Friday and added a goal and an assist in a 6-1 win over Unity on Sunday. For his strong offensive output, Young was named player of the week.
