Team Canada was in action this morning against Team Slovakia in the World Junior Hockey Championships from the Czech Republic. Team Canada ended up in first in Pool B with 3 regulation wins and 1 regulation loss heading to their game against the Slovaks.

Dylan Cozens had 2 points and defenseman Calen Addison, had one as well, to help Canada to a 6-1 victory over Team Slovakia. Canadian captain Barrett Hayton had a goal and an assist and western Canadian defenseman Calen Addison who plays for Lethbridge in the WHL added one assist in the 6-1 triumph over Slovakia. Alexis Lafreniere, who was injured earlier in the tournament, came back to put up 2 points for Team Canada as well in the win.

The Canadians will wait until all the quarterfinals are done and will then know who they will play on Saturday from the Czech Republic.
