The West Central Challenge was held in Kindersley this past weekend and the host team took the big prize in overtime. The final score was 4-3 in overtime over the Martensville Marauders with the goal being scored by Cole Reschny with assists to Keegan Nash & Pryce Thiessen.

There were 7 teams in all taking part in the tournament including two from Saskatoon and two from Alberta to go along with a team from Martensville and Lloydminster. Next action for the Wheat Kings in league play will be January 10 in North Battleford against the Battlefords Barons at 8 pm. The Pee Wee Wheat Kings have a perfect 14-0 record heading into the Christmas break.
