At approximately 12:30 PM on Friday, May 12th, a freight train and 20 train cars derailed 8 kilometers East of Wilkie.
The line was reopened over the weekend after all repairs and safety inspections occurred. No injuries, dangerous goods, or threat to the public were reported.
The incident is under investigation by the rail company, CP Rails.
