The University of Saskatchewan Huskies Women's Hockey Team, who have started their season 2-0 for the first time since 2009-10 are back in action this weekend. They are hosting a pair of games against the University of Calgary Dinos tonight and tomorrow in Rutherford Rink.

The Huskies had a stellar opening weekend against the Mount Royal Cougars on October 2nd and 3rd. Cassidy Hendricks back stopped the Huskies to a 2-1 victory Friday, where as Jessica Waltz made 25 saves in a 2-0 win for her first career CIS shut out on Saturday. Senior Marlene Ervine, (9) from Kindersley had a goal and an assist in that game as well.

Other Kindersley prospects on the Huskies roster include Sophomore Kori Herner. (10) who has one assist in two games played. Sophomore, #22 Kennedy Harris, also from Kindersley has been held off the score sheet in her two games played this season.

Since 2009-10 the Huskies are 16-9-1 against the Dinos. The Huskies and Dinos last met in the 2014/15 Canada West Quarter-Final Series in Calgary where the Dinos eliminated the Huskies with a 2-0 series win.
