Yesterday was Teddy Bear Toss Night for the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League.
Late in the first period, a West Central native helped make it rain stuffed animals. Rosetown's Vaughn Watterodt battled his way to the net for the honour of scoring this year's Teddy Bear Toss goal:

Last night was the Blades' first game back after the league's Christmas break, and the Blades forward must have been feeling it as he let a laser out for his second of the night:

An exciting end to the first period certainly set the stage for Watterodt as he finished off his hat-trick late in the second with a shorthanded goal:
