The West Central Bantam and Pee Wee AA teams are on the threshold of another season of hockey in the Saskatchewan AA Hockey League. Camps are now completed for the two teams and action is slated to start this weekend for both teams.

The Bantams will kick off their season at home in Unity on Sunday, October 6, as they host the Swift Current Broncos at 4:30 at the Unity Community Centre. It will be the first of four games in the month of October, with a total of two games at home and two on the road. The Bantams are looking for an improvement from last season as they were 7-22-1-1.

The Pee Wee team has a lighter schedule to begin their season as they only play two games within the month of October. They will play host to the Melfort Mustangs at 1:30, once again, at the Unity Community Centre on October 6. They then travel to to Warman to play the Wildcats on October 19 to conclude the month. The Pee Wee Wheat Kings had a strong season last year with a record of 18-5-1 before bowing out to Warman in the playoffs last year in 3 games.
