Playoffs in the Sask West Hockey League(SWHL) and Sask Valley Hockey League(SVHL) are on to the second round.

The Eston Ramblers finished 3rd in the SVHL this past season, good enough for a first round series against a formidable opponent in the Dinsmore Dynamos. Johnny Calkins had 3 assists in Game 1, where the Ramblers left victorious with a 6-3 win. Looking to move on in Game 2, the Ramblers were surprised by a furious late comeback by the Dynamos and lost the contest 4-2. With Game 3 going on Sunday, Dinsmore attempted to bring the momentum into Eston for the road contest, but the Ramblers executed their game and came out on top with a strong 5-2 victory against a talented Dinsmore squad. With the win, Eston will move on to face the Kenaston Blizzards in the next round.

The Kerrobert Tigers finished 6th in SWHL league standings, but could not handle themselves against the 3rd seeded Macklin Mohawks in round 1. Kerrobert is playing in the provincial D bracket against Debden, and traveled there Sunday for a losing effort. Game 2 will take place Sunday in Kerrobert, at 8:30. If the Tigers should come back in the series, they will go onto face the winner of Beechy(SVHL) and Luseland (SWHL). Miles Warkentine and Rylan Freed led the team in the regular season with 2 points a game each.
