The Kindersley Crude Hitters roller derby team played their first game of the season over the weekend against the visiting team from Drumheller.

The Kindersley Curling Rink is the home base for the Crude Hitters, and saw a packed house to watch the exciting action. The Crude Hitters dominated the Drumheller Badlands Hell Raisers by a score of 241-139. Last season, the Crude Hitters also defeated the visiting team from Drumheller, but were in a much closer match.

The Crude Hitters will play two more home games this season, as well as one game on the road. The next game is scheduled for June 3rd where they will take on Prince Albert in the town of St. Louis.

This is already their 4th season of being in an organized league, and all three home games will see a very exciting crowd. The team has grown to be more competitive each season, while expanding the roster to all of those that are looking to get involved in the sport.

Roller Derby is a contact sport with plenty of hitting, and continues to surprise a lot of fans who have never experienced the sport before.

The next home game for the Crude Hitters will take place on June 17th against the visiting team from Weyburn.
