The Rosetown Redwings were back in action in the Sask Valley Hockey League this past weekend and fell 6-3 to the Kenaston Blizzards for their first loss of the season. Jared Jagow lead the way for Rosetown with a goal and two assists in the defeat. Kyle Ireland chipped in with a goal and Justin Fox got the other in the loss. Blizzards forward Jaimen Yakubowski lead the way scoring 4 goals in all in the victory for Kenaston. Parker Thomas was the setup man as he assisted on 4 goals for the Blizzards as well.

The Redwings sit with a 2-1-1 record through 4 games this season and will be back on the ice for two games this weekend. First they will play host to the Lucky Lake Lakers on Friday night at 8 pm. Then they will head down to Dinsmore to play the Dynamos on Saturday for an 8 o clock start as well.

Kyle Ireland leads the team in scoring with 9 points in 4 games and Zach Douglas and Justin Fox are right behind with 7 with Fox leading the team in goals with 5. Justin Gauthier has played all but 13 minutes of the 4 games Rosetown has been in and has 3.88 GAA and a .885 save percentage.
