Kindersley's 25th Anniversary Indoor Rodeo kicks off this week, starting on Thursday May 26th.

The rodeo will take place at West Central Events Centre and runs from Thursday all the way until Saturday night ending with the Rodeo Dance at the Co-op Arena.  Each day features different attractions during the day and at night starting at 7:00pm.

Thursday's festivities start with The Golden Boot Award, where one local business will win the classification of "Best Decorated Western Business".  That night the rodeo begins with family night.

On Friday special events include the Annual Rodeo Downtown Barbecue, and Wild Cow Milking.  West Central Online spoke to Rodeo Organizer Tyler Ritchie about what goes into Wild Cow Milking.

"It will be a three man team, right there in the arena.  One Mugger, one on the rope and one milking, and it will be the first team to have a bottle with some milk in it and back to the judges will be the winner."

Saturday will include the Kindersley Rodeo Fundraiser Barbecue with a mechanical bull, face painting, bouncy houses and live music.  There will also be a "Kids Foot Rodeo" where 100 kids will have the chance to enter into events like stick horse barrel racing, dummy roping, goat undercoating, and dash for candy chuck wagon races.  Free Style Bull Fighting will take place that night followed by the annual Rodeo Dance.  Dusty Mule will be playing at the Co-op Arena.

Tyler Ritchie also had some advice to those attending the rodeo.

"Right at 7pm is when the lights are going to drop and we are going to start that rodeo.  So definitely it's a good idea to get there early get in the door early with your advanced ticket, that way you aren't waiting outside when the rodeo starts."
