The Kindersley and District Plains Museum will be welcoming the Archaeology Roadshow to town this weekend.

The show is presented by the Saskatchewan Archaeology Society and allows residents to check out the display, purchase archaeology books, and even have items such as artifacts and fossils examined by experts on-site. There will be archaeologists and an expert in palaeontology and geology at the show.

It all kicks off Saturday, October 22nd at noon and runs until 4:00 PM at the museum which is located at 903 11th Avenue East in Kindersley, and it is free for everyone to attend.

Norman Wiggins of the Kindersley and District Plains Museum explained how it will be an interactive and fun afternoon for residents as they learn more about archaeology in Saskatchewan. "Once you visit with those folks, you can visit the museum too," exclaimed Wiggins. "We're very excited about this."

Wiggins also mentioned how the museum were able to attract the show to town. "Couple years ago we lent out a display to a professor at the university, and I was always kind of after them to come back to the museum," said Wiggins. "We wanted to have something at the museum that reflects on the archaeology."

He added how he's excited the event will contain three fields for residents to check out: archaeology, palaeontology, and geology.
