Racers and race fans alike will re-engage west of Kindersley on Friday night. The first of two days of action at Flatlanders Speedway gets underway at 7:00 PM.
The usual classes of hobbies, street stocks, thunder trucks, and legends should be on display, and barring any changes admission will remain $10 with kids 12 and under getting in for free with an adult.
Flatlanders Speedway also announced some unofficial point totals ahead of the weekend.
The Hobby Stock division sees Joseph Chiliak in first place with 47 points and a thinly separated group behind him. The Street Stock division sees Laurie Robbie and Jason Hankewich in the top two spots with 48 and 39 points respectively. Truck Strock has Sawyer Diemert in first place with 48 points and a logjam for second at 40 points. The Legends division is another tight group with Jason Hankewich leading the way at 48 points, and then finally the Mini Sprints group of Reed Cey and Dominic Hankewich close out the list of points awarded as of July 4.
Great weather should accompany Flatlanders first Friday night race of the season at 7:00 PM, and then day two of the races will fire up on Saturday at 5:00 with another nice day in the forecast.
