It was a good ol' time at the Prairieland Community Centre in Kerrobert, as Canadian country music superstar Gord Bamford took the stage along with opening act, Duane Steele.

Secretary Treasurer of the Kerrobert & District Ag. Society, Janice Morland, was very happy with how things played out and shared how much money was raised for the Kerrobert Fairgrounds.

“We're looking between that $4000 and $5000 mark we’ve cleared, after all our expenses for the event. So, it will help to make a lot of improvements down at the fairgrounds.”

Morland was very thankful for all who helped make the concert a reality.

“Our Kerrobert & District Ag. Society Members who really stepped up to the plate, Kerrobert Minor Ball, Kerrobert Rec Ball, Kerrobert Rodeo Committee. Many of the volunteers and a lot of people just stepped in and helped whenever there was somebody who needed an extra set of hands. Multiple clubs helped out in the kitchen, running the concession. There were so many people, it's hard to remember almost everybody who helped. But we were so very fortunate to have so many who wanted to be a part of the event.”

The event was definitely a good indication of how to run fundraisers in the future, according to Morland.

“(The event) opened some doors to see what we all can do and where some of our strengths are. Working towards some other fundraising events, we now know where we work well together, and we can hopefully help each other out in the events that we have in the Community moving forward.”
