A familiar name in country music will be making a stop in West Central Saskatchewan next month. Gord Bamford will be taking the stage at the Prairieland Community Centre April 22nd while out on his Canadian Dirt Tour.

The Kerrobert & District Agricultural Society is proudly presenting the concert with money from the event going directly back into the community.

Secretary Treasurer of the Kerrobert & District Ag. Society, Janice Morland along with others is extremely excited to be presenting an event of this magnitude.

“It’s the first thing we've been really involved with anything other than our regional 4H show and sale that we host every year. We’re on our 77th year of doing that, but this is our first big outside of our normal event that we’re involved in.”

Money raised from the concert will go towards improving the Kerrobert Fairgrounds which are used by numerous committees.

Morland details the focus of where the money will be used at the fairgrounds.

“There's a long list of things. We've got landscaping that needs to be done. We put up a building here just over five years ago and there's landscaping around that building. There's always upkeep of the current structures that are there. I know that there's shale needed for some of the grounds. Our bleachers need upgrading, the bathrooms need some repairs. Basically, anything that's going to benefit anyone who uses the fairgrounds, that’s where it’s going.”
