The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers were back in action yesterday as they played the Melville Millionaires in a tight checking, close game. Liam Fraser continued his strong play with the tying goal 4:24 into the second period as the Klippers fell behind 1-0 on a goal by Melville’s Jaden Hewes in the first period. That’s the way it stayed after regulation as the teams battled into overtime. The Klippers couldn’t manage the extra point, however, and fell on a goal by Zach Bannister just over three minutes into the extra session making the final score 2-1. Matt Sankner was once again solid between the pipes making 32 saves in the overtime loss.

Kindersley will have a chance for revenge as they will play the Millionaires once again tomorrow as the four game trip continues. The Klippers will then head to Canora to play the Yorkton Terriers on Saturday.

Then they will then start a home and home series versus the best team in the league, the Battlefords North Stars, with the first game in North Battleford on December 6 and the return game in Kindersley on December 7. Liam Fraser has had a great week with the Klippers scoring 7 goals in the last 4 games to go along with 2 assists. The Calgary, Alberta product leads the team in goal scoring and points with 15 goals and 27 points in 29 games played.
