The middle-of-the-pack Kindersley Klippers welcomed a top SJHL team to the west central events centre yesterday in the Weyburn Redwings.

Gage Joel got the first goal of the game yesterday, sneaking one through the five hole on a break away.

From there, the Redwings scored three straight goals between the first and second period putting the Klippers down 3-1 heading into the third period.

In the third period, Landon Gross and Cole Young added a goal to tie the game 3-3. The clock wound down, and the game went into overtime. Five minutes solved nothing so the two teams went to a shootout. It took eight rounds but the Kinersley Klippers were able to come away with the 4-3 win.

Austin Calladine extended his point streak to five games for the green and white.

The Klippers next game is at home on Remembrance Day, Wednesday November 11th when they welcome the Melfort Mustangs. Kindersley will also be wearing special, military theme jerseys for that game in honor of past, present, and future veterans.
