A few teams will be making their season debut in Week 2 as local football gets fully underway around west-central Saskatchewan.
The Eatonia Spartans will host the Kindersley Kobras in a matchup between teams coming off an opening week loss. Kindersley dropped a 46-7 decision to Unity, while Eatonia lost 44-0 to Biggar. Kickoff on Friday is set for 4:00 PM.
Speaking of Biggar, the Blazers will again be the home team this week as they host LCBI. Kickoff in Biggar is also 4:00 PM.
Unity and Rosetown are both on a bye, rounding out 2A action for the week.
Looking over to 1A, the Plenty Wildcats will be in action on Thursday after an opening week win 56-36 against the Kerrobert Rebels. They will aim for two wins in a row, heading to Big River for a 4:00 kickoff.
Macklin will also play on Thursday, opening up their season against Hafford on the road. Kickoff for that one is also set for 4:00.
The Kerrobert Rebels are on a bye week as the only local 1A team not in action.
