Major Play Pals has a couple of fundraisers coming up to help offset the cost to parents of 3 and 4-year-old kids in the preschool program. The busy preschool serves the entire area including the towns of Major, Denzil, Compeer, Altario and Luseland.

They have an Operation Smile fundraiser coming up this fall, and they'll do Mom's Pantry in the new year. Bailey Kemery is a board member with the Major Play Pals preschool. She talks about the importance of the community support they get. "It stays affordable because of the fundraising that we do, and donations that come in."

Kemery says that they have one ongoing fundraiser, "Currently we're collecting bottles. We can arrange for pick up in any location as long as you give us an address, or some decent directions and we'll gladly pick it up." If you're looking to donate or have some extra recycling, reach out to majorplaypals@gmail.com.

"We offer a program that accommodates a lot of diverse families. We've had quite a few people from the Ukraine move into the area and join the preschool group." Kemery is obviously very proud of the preschool and mentioned that if you're interested in registering you can also send an email. New programs start again in January. Meghan Richelhoff is the program director and she stressed that this is not a daycare. It's a preschool program designed at preparing kids for kindergarten, and it runs once per week for 2.5 hours.
