West Central Rage

The West Central Rage were in action this past weekend in pair of games against the Carrot River Thunder at home.

The Rage won the first game of the weekend on Saturday 8-5 with Blake Fennig have a big game with 4 goals and 3 assists in the victory.

Unity native Brayden Schultz scored a pair as well in the win and Biggar’s Keaton Haynes had a goal and an assist in the victory.

The outcome was a little different on Sunday, however, as the Thunder came back with a 7-2 win in Kerrobert.

The Rage sit with a 5-20-2 record heading into the Christmas break. The next game for West Central is against the Delisle Chiefs on January 3 at 7:30 from Kerrobert.


Delisle Chiefs

The Delisle Chiefs have a busy schedule heading up to the Christmas break as they will have 3 games before the break starting with a game at home against the Saskatoon Westleys tomorrow night at 8 pm.

The Chiefs won two games this past weekend on the road against the Silver Foxes on Saturday 8-2 and then moved on to play the Southern Rebels on Sunday and once again came out on top, 4-2.

Plenty’s Chad Westman, who will be heading to the PJHL all star game in January, had a good weekend for the Chiefs starting with 2 goals and an assist on Saturday. He continued his good play with a goal and 2 assists against the Southern Rebels on Sunday to help lead his team to victory.

Westman leads the Chiefs in scoring with 38 points in 20 games. Jaden Shewchuk is second on the team with 31 points and 15 goals. Austin Linnen is third with 27 points and 14 goals to round up the top 3 for Delisle.

The Chiefs have a 13-6-1 record which is second in their division heading into play tomorrow night.
