This weekend, the town of Rosetown saw the return of its Annual Dusty Wheels Indoor Auto Show for its 34th year.

The show was put together by the Dusty Wheels car Club, which has the sole purpose of bringing together people who have high interest in high quality vehicles. The show is set up in the Rosetown Hockey Rink, and can fit a maximum of 46 cars.

The car show itself helps to raise money for local businesses and organizations, though this year’s recipient has not yet been decided. The club receives suggestions from community members as to who should be the ones to receive the proceeds. Donations in previous years have been made to STARS, the Children’s Hospital, and the Outlook Swimming Pool.

Barry Churchman, the Vice President of the club, shared how the club started, and made its way to where it is today.

“We decided as a club, that if we were going to be a car club, we had to put a car show on. So we started with our first car show, mostly local cars, and it progressed now so we have cars coming from all over the province. A lot of them are members from other car clubs that our members go to their show and shine, or whatever activities they’re putting on.”

Churchman also said that they try to spice up the show as much as possible.

“We’ve always managed to fill the rink with exciting cars, we try to get as many new cars that have never been there before.”

The event ran from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M., with kids 12 and under being allowed in for free.
