The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers will be back on the ice tomorrow night after a pair of losses to the Flin Flon Bombers on the weekend. The Klippers were coming off four wins in a row including three on the road and couldn’t solve the Bombers. Flin Flon took the game in a high scoring affair Friday night. The teams scored 6 in the first period alone with the Bombers taking a 4-2 lead into the second. Flin Flon took over from there and scored the next five goals to run away with the game winning 9-2. The Klippers were very undisciplined and the Bombers pounced on the opportunities getting 6 power play goals in all in 9 chances. Kindersley couldn’t capitalize on their chances and went o for 6 on the man advantage. Caden Benson and Jacob Schnapp scored for Kindersley in the defeat.

The Bombers and Klippers got right back at it on Saturday night and the game was much more competitive. Flin Flon took the lead 2-0 after goals in the first and second period but the Klippers battled back and tied the score with 2 goals late in the second. Flin Flon scored just over 8 minutes into the third period and held on to win the game 3-2. Caden Benson and Austin Nault scored for the Klippers in the loss. Dawson McKenzie continues to lead the team in scoring with 20 points in 16 games with Kyle Bosch close behind with 18 points in 17 games and Austin Nault having 17 points in 17 games including 10 goals to lead the team. The Klippers who are now 7-9-1 are back in action tomorrow night as they will face the Nipawin Hawks at 7:30 at home.
