Mac Gross, who plays with the Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers, received news of a prestigious honour on Monday. The 2002-born defenseman is in his rookie season with the SJHL's Kindersley Klippers, and was just named to Team West ahead of the 2020 Canadian Junior Hockey League Prospects Game.

Gross has a goal and nine assists in 36 games already with the Klippers, logging solid minutes on the blueline in his first year of Junior A hockey.

He's one of just two players from the SJHL on Team West's 20-player roster, and is among 40 of the top NHL Draft-eligible Junior A prospects selected from across 133 teams in 10 different leagues around Canada.

The two-year Home Hardware Midget AAA Legionnaire and former Bantam AA Bronco was originally drafted in the third round (50th overall) by the Spokane Chiefs in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.

The 15th-annual CJHL Prospects Game is set for January 14th from Dave Andreychuk Arena in Hamilton, Ont.
