Pee Wee

In Hi-way 14 hockey league action this past weekend the Kindersley 2 Pee Wee team had just one game on their schedule against the Eston Pee Wee Ramblers and came out on top, 7-2 in Eston last Saturday. Deegan German had 4 points and Gavin Wielgosz (while-goss) had 3 points to lead the way for the team. Austin Schafer is leading the team in scoring with 28 points in 9 games played and Tyce Perkins is right behind with 22 points to go along with a team leading 16 goals. The Pee Wee 2 team sits with a 6-1-2 record so far this season to sit second in the Pee Wee division of the Hi-way 14 hockey league. Next action for the Pee Wee 2 squad is not until the new year when the Dinsmore Pee Wee Dynamos are in Kindersley Saturday January 11 for a 7 pm start.

As for the Kindersley 1 team, they will have a busy weekend ahead of them with three games all on the road. First up will be the Dodsland Stars Pee Wee team in Dodsland on Friday at 4:45 pm. Then the Macklin Pee Wee Blue team is next in Macklin Saturday at 2:45 pm. And finally the team will travel to Outlook to play the Ice Hawks Pee Wee team on Sunday at 2:30 pm to wrap up the weekend. Kindersley 1 sits wits a 3-3-1 record heading into action this weekend which is good for 7th in the Pee Wee division.

The Macklin Pee Wee White team leads the Pee Wee division with a 6-0-2 record with Kindersley 2 right behind in second and the Wilkie/Biggar Outlaws and Outlook Ice Hawks tied for third with 5-1-2 records and Eston in fifth to round out the top 5 with a 5-2 mark.


Bantam

The Unity Lazers are leading the Hi-way 14 hockey league’s Bantam division heading towards the Christmas break with a 5-0-2 mark going into weekend action. Unity will head to Rosetown to play the Rosetown/Elrose team on Friday night in the only game of the weekend for the squad. Puck drop is 6 pm at the Rosetown Arena. The Lazers are lead in points by Thomas Snell, who has collected 24 points and 16 goals in 7 games played. Kelsey Kratchmer is second with 10 goals and 10 assists for 20 points.

As for the second place Eston Ramblers, they will not be back on the ice until December 21 after winning both their games last weekend. First up the Ramblers played the Kerrobert/Luseland Tigers at home Saturday and cruised to a 7-2 victory. Then in a much closer game Sunday, the Ramblers held off the Rosetown/Elrose team 3-2 to go 2-0 for the weekend. The Ramblers are lead offensively by Boston Dipple, who has 13 goals and 18 points to lead the team.

The Good to Go Bantam Klippers will not be in action until Saturday December 21 at 3:30 when the Klippers will head to Dinsmore to play the Ramblers before the Christmas break. Kindersley sits with a 3-3-1 record.


Midget

In the Midget division of the Hi-way 14 hockey league the Kindersley Klippers Midget team played a pair of games on the weekend. The Klippers won big on Friday against the Unity Lazers, 14-4. Brody Gasmo lead the team with 4 goals and 5 assists in the victory. Caleb Bacon and Shaun Cranston had 5 points as well and Blake Sautner had a hat trick in the win.

Next up for the Klippers were the KDL Midget team at home and the Klippers were once again victorious, 5-2. Shaun Cranston scored a pair of goals in the win and Caleb Bacon and Preston Edgerton had a goal and an assist as well. The Klippers are hosting a tournament this weekend starting tomorrow and will be on the ice at 11:30 am and then on Friday morning at 8 am and then Saturday and Sunday the times will be known by Friday evening. Kindersley is lead by Brody Gasmo with 21 points in 10 games played with Caleb Bacon in second with 20 points. Preston Edgerton leads the team in goals with 14.

The Macklin Mohawks are number 1 in the Midget division with a 9-0-1 mark with Eston and Dinsmore tied for second with an identical 6-1-2 record to round out the top teams in the Hi-way 14 hockey league’s Midget division. Macklin's top scorer is Dyson Erker, who has 16 points in 7 games played. Eston’s top sniper is Turner Somerville who has 24 points in 11 games played to go along with 13 goals. Dinsmore is lead offensively by Alec Nieman who has 16 goals and 22 points in 7 games played.
