Moose Jaw’s Courtney Fielder was named Music Director of the Year over the weekend at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards in Lloydminster.

“To even just be nominated for two awards at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards was a huge honour to me,” said Fielder.

“To be able to bring home Music Director of the Year is just such an amazing feeling because as a music director, you get to be a part of an artist journey, sometimes from the very beginning.”

In addition to hosting the Country 100 Morning Show, and the Canadian Country Showcase, Fielder works behind the scenes programming Golden West Radio’s country radio stations which can be heard in 11 markets across the prairies.

Fielder is known nationally and internationally for her dedicated work promoting Canadian country music and her production and hosting duties for the Canadian Country Showcase.

“We really are a tight knit family in the country music industry, especially here in Saskatchewan. Everybody knows everybody in Saskatchewan country music scene and to be able to take home this award and walk up on that stage is such a huge honour.”

Fielder was also nominated for On-Air Personality of the Year.
